stevasaurus 22,234 #26 Posted October 7, 2010 I think we hit the trans thing on the head..running that and warming that up may work it out for you. On the head bolts...I doubt there is a certain amount of time and then do it now. I would say, run it, mow the lawn, move the snow...after the engine gets a good workout...let it cool and then check the torque. Do not re-torque when the engine is hot. My fault on the grease on the fork shafts Bevan. I hate to sound like "Hold my beer and watch this", but maybe a space heater or hair dryer on the 3rd gear side of the trans (left side)??? heating up the case and working the shifter may thin and soften the grease enough to by-pass the tolerance. Don't forget the video... :USA:
yokomist 0 #27 Posted October 7, 2010 Here is a video, its not much to look at but it does show her running: I have been trying to fine tune the carb today, I think I just made it worse! I will reset to factory settings and try again. Definately not your fault on the grease Steve! Just me getting carried away Thanks, Bevan
stevasaurus 22,234 #28 Posted October 7, 2010 I saw both videos...excellent. I would bungee-cord a milk create on the frame and ride it around. You have done very well sir and should be proud of that horse and yourself. WOW Bevan...very nice. :)
