kloe0699 12 #1 Posted September 30, 2010 I picked up a blower today. Picks are coming, got home late from my cross-state roadtrip. It's a 06-42st04. I had a hard time finding it on Toro's site and the dealer struggled also to find a belt number. I dug throught the archives of rs and came out with a belt# 9750. I hooked it to the Raider 10 and was wondering, how do you pick it up with the handle? I am not a small guy, that thing is heafty. Is there a spring assist or something that I don't have on right? Thanks, Kevin
Raider 2 #2 Posted September 30, 2010 Some lift flags have a tab welded on with an eyebolt in it. You would attach a spring from the front footrest bar to the eyebolt and tighten it up with the eyebolt. It does help carry the weight of the blower if there is a big enough spring. Gerry w 2 #3 Posted September 30, 2010 Makes a BIG difference which hole you place that flag into as well, with my raider if I set it into the wrong hole I can barely lift it, switch holes and it lifts much easier! Can't tell you which one but in a week I could, snows headed my way quickly I think.
kajamo240 3 #4 Posted September 30, 2010 I'm a pretty small guy, (160lbs soaking wet), and lifting the blower with my B-80 is easier than lifting the plow and just barely harder than lifting up the mower deck. Pretty impressive actually. You just have to make sure that you put that flag into the right hole on the lift lever. I know there is a diagram somewhere on the forum but after 20 mins of searching, I couldn't find the post that I used to educate myself on how to attach it and gave up. Maybe some one else here can find it or even has it saved in their computer some where and can post it...?
kajamo240 3 #6 Posted September 30, 2010 This is the exact picture I was talking about! Thanks Jason.
kloe0699 12 #7 Posted October 1, 2010 I had the flag in the wrong hole. Honestly I have never noticed that 3rd hole up in there! It lifts much easier now.. After looking at that diagram I think my tiller may be hooked wrong also? Thanks guys! Kevin
kloe0699 12 #8 Posted October 5, 2010 Some pics of my new blower. Is there supposed to be something covering the chain/sprockets? Kevin
