416-8 engine code

I picked up a 416-8 today with a Kohler 16 horse. Someone cleaned the engine so good that they removed the numbers off the engine tag. Does anyone know what the code should be? I also have a Walbro carb with the part number - 4785320-S. Will this carb work on this tractor? The numbers off of the tractor are - 3116K804 27279

Hello Ray;

On the carb, there should be a "30" cast into the choke side of the carb, on the inside, at the top of the throat. Good luck!

It should be a 1988, base on the tractor Mdl#, and it should have the 16 HP Kohler Magnum M16S-Spec 711523
