Need help to I.D. Snow Thrower

Recommended Posts

oldnugly

I just bought a WH 36 inch snow thrower and I'd like to know the year it was made and what tractor(s) it was made for.

The plate has the words:

On the first line: "Identification Number"

Second line" 06-37sx01-14833

Bottom line: "9095"

The plate has does not mention "model number" or "serial number"

It's in excellent shape with all decals intact, turns freely, paint in great shape. Extermely little rust

I couldn't turn it down for the price--now, what did I buy?

Thanks,

Old

the 37sx01 number is the number you are looking for. Maybe made in 1981 or newer. Fits E-81 5 speed and some others like B-115, LT832, LTT1136 and LT1137 from 82 and 83. The latter has a service bulletin involved. All this from the interchange chart. Hope that helps. :)

I am at work so if the computer police see this, they have to catch me! :)

The model, or VIN number is the 06-37SX01...the serial number is 14833...the date of manufacture is 9095 which is the 95th day of 1979.

It is actually a 37" due the the "37" in the model number...

Don't have my books to tell you what it fits but I am betting it is for a B-Series. The experts will be on here and give more info.....

"06-37sx01" shows in Toro's parts listings as having been manufactured from 1980-1983. They don't specify a serial number range so determining which year in that run your machine was made may be difficult.

Others with more knowledge will chime in on what machines it will fit.

OK....others have chimed in while I've been typing!

Cool you guys, Mike, I did not know that about the 9095 number. Learn something every day. :)

Don't know if that is the actual date it was finished or it might be a date that was picked for a run of several tractors that were on the line getting assembled.

Thanks guys. It's 'newer' than I thought. I had looked on the list but only at dates from mid-70's and earlier. Wish I had a use for it. Tom
