c-81 enough power for a tiller

I have a c-81 Im going to be looking for a tiller does the k181 have enough power? or should I look for a bigger wheel horse and a tiller

First :) I can't speak from experience, but I would think it would be fine if it is in good running condition, those old singles are tough. I'm sure others will chime in and speak from experience.

My son's 854 pulls a WH 36"tiller with no problem !!! That old K181 has never

missed a beat !!

I'll post a pic tommorrow just to show ya!!

It will do it, but a bigger engine will do it much better, with out working as hard.

I use a 308-8 as my tiller tractor. It does great, never bogs and runs cheap.

I run mine with a 310-8 and has no issues whatsoever......I would imagine that the 8 hp will chug right along and do a very nice job!

Well here it is !!

It's a 854 with a K181 and also a HY lift (the boy can't lift the tiller manually)

I think the type of ground you have would be a factor as to how much horse power. We have hard red ground here on North Carolina and you can use all the horse power you can get.
