Wheel Horse Fan 3 #1 Posted September 20, 2010 I finally got the C-175 running but it had a knocking type noise. I first thought maybe it was a rod knock, but once I pulled the cylinder jugs I see there is some slop in the cam gear and that was causing the knocking noise. There doesn't appear to be any end play and based on how much slop there is with the gear mesh I should be able feel some end play. Anyone heard of this before and knows what the fix might be.
