2 questions for you

Recommended Posts

1-) when putting on the the steering gear on the bottom of the steering shaft should it be a slip fit or press fit before you install the spring pin? Mine seems very tight and I can't get it on.

2-) For the K161 and K181 engines what is a replacement number for the small air filter for the carb?

Thanks

Thanks for the air filter numbers.

How about the gear question? I believe it should be a slip fit, am I correct?

The steering shaft and gear are a machined fit If your having troubles fitting the gear on the shaft just put it in a vise and take some emery cloth and sand it till the gear fits.

The tighter the fit on the shaft the better, but you do still need to be able to turn it a little so you can line the holes up. You probably have some burrs where the holes are. A little clean up with a file and some emery paper should fix it.
