wallfish 15,996 #4 Posted September 6, 2010 Big a$$ 44" 2 stage blower. You may want to consider a hydraulic lift equipped tractor to get it off the ground. These things are heavy!
Forest Road 594 #5 Posted September 6, 2010 Kevin, Sorry old man, not mine to sell. What is worse, it is not mine. Hoping to buy it and a tractor to go with it today. "old man" well that's a first! Make sure you get a hydro tractor to lift that thing . I'd hate to hear that your young shoulder got dislocated lifting it. Oh and a BARE minimum of16hp. Those things need all the power you can get for them.
3spaniels 0 #6 Posted September 6, 2010 The Mrs. & I just got back from trying to buy the blower and a 314-8 with about 300 hours on it. Offered $900 for both, then the gal says she wants to sell the rest of the stuff with it. Price went up to $1050...but, didn't need or WANT the roller, sprayer, spreader, cart and other junk. So, I withdrew my offer and left the other fellows "duke" it out. :wh:

Kelly 1,028 #8 Posted September 6, 2010 Should have bought it all! Then sell unwanted items. Randy For $150 you could have sold off maybe up to $300+ worth of exrtas and made the tractor even cheaper

3spaniels 0 #13 Posted September 11, 2010 Well, Maybe things worked out for the better. A three hour drive up and three hours back netted a79263 Snowthrower, wheel weights and chains...as well as a 79271...mounting hardware included in the deal, but missing the "flag" on the snowblower lift...guess I will make one. Then went to Smill Mill Implement to get a Bagger/Vac attachment for the 268H that would have to be removed from a 257H and they made me a deal I could not resist. So, now, Yes it is not an 8-speed, BUT...it worked out OK! :)
