pulled the fuel line and cranked it over and the pump is working. removed the air filter and sprayed gas into the carb and it will start and run fine as long as i keep spraying. any suggestions? thanks . . .scott

sounds like the carb needs cleaned and gone over or could be as easy as readjusting the needle screws

As Jordon said, I would suspect the carb. You may have something as simple as a stuck (closed) float valve. A good cleaning is always a good first step.

I echo the "carb clean" idea. You could also just hang over the steering wheel and spray either as you go. :)
