headchef1971 0 #1 Posted August 31, 2010 hi i wanted to introduce myself to the site. ever since i was 15 i wanted a tractor. after ten years of contemplating i finally purchased one, used of course. i bought a 1964 white horse 1054 model. i ts in pretty descent condition, slight rust but the engine purrs. except having some issues with the starter. i have a new battery in it. it cranks so sssllloooowwww. removed the generator starter and the part that the belt attaches to it is real smooth , no friction or tention when i turn it . any suggestions would be greatly appreciated my next question is about the tractor . i have no info. all i know that it is a 1964 1054 model with a kholer engine and a three speed. thats it. there are no serial numbers or decals on the tractor. the guy that i bought it from said his dad owned it since new and its all original. is there any pdf files that are out there on this tractor like a users manual or anythink. i would love to know some history on this model. thank yoou so very much. now im 40 years old and i finally got my wish .it only took alot of years . KB9LOR 4 #3 Posted August 31, 2010 :) If I remember correctly, the model numbers are located under the dash in front of the shifter look for a plate there. Brian

Lane Ranger 11,405 #5 Posted August 31, 2010 On the 1054 the serial number will be on the shifter decal but no model number. Its great that you are the second owner of a 46 year old 1054!! 42649 Serial Number PS: check the wheelhorse.org link on red square and Hit the Equipment Manuals Link. You will find the 1054-A (same basic tractor as 1054) owners manual in the first group.
