rrlascott 0 #1 Posted August 30, 2010 My GT 14 needs a new stator. The problem is the old one had no part numbers on it. I now have, thanks to everyone, lots of manuals. But none have a part number to go by. Anyone know a goot part number for a stator for a GT 14? Engine is a Kohler K321. Thank You. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

refracman 167 #3 Posted August 30, 2010 I'm thinking you can swap a 15amp(newer style) in place of the 10amp. I have both on the shelf I'll check tomorrow. If you can, any one from a 10- 16hp K series and 17/19hp KT series kohler will work, they're all the same. As a side note I allways install a 20amp rectifier no matter which amp stator the engine has just to cover myself and they seem to last longer. Kelly 1,033 #4 Posted August 30, 2010 If you have the breakerless ign. and want to use the newer stator you will for one have to change the ign. system to batt. style and also change the bearing plate so the new style stator will fit, it's a bolt in, but not a quick one, but first what is the set up you have??? has it been changed??
