Miles 1 #1 Posted August 26, 2010 I'm just wondering if perhaps anyone might know where I might find the face gears for an RM-366 mower. I believe the number is 3130. I've tried Toro, but of course it's no longer available.

Miles 1 #7 Posted August 26, 2010 Ok, the 3130 gear is a face gear which is no longer available. The 3131 spur gear is still available and is the one that attaches to mower blade spindal. I'm needing the face gear or the 3130. I'm going to approach this fellow about having this face gear made up and how expensive it is. These gears were used in the 32" and the 36" rear discharge mowers. I know there bound to be other members here who have faced this same problem. I could just rob another mower deck for the gears but that would only be destroying maybe another good deck, are possible a deck that could be restored. If anyone is interested, here is the web address to the site. http://gearsmade.com/ Hope this fellow can help and his prices are not to far out of range. Ha, if you can't find them, then I suppose there is no limit ha.... If it's man made, it can be man made again.

Lane Ranger 11,395 #9 Posted August 26, 2010 Daniel: Thanks for posting the gearsmade website of Al Meekins. Looks like very good quality and should assist some others on this website with gears they made need. :)
Miles 1 #10 Posted August 27, 2010 Thanks, I'm in the process of taking measurements and pictures of the gear now, and will send them out to them later tonight. Hopefully, I will hear something back from them sometime tomorrow. I do know where a new gear is to send them to reproduce. Believe it or not, I had it in my hand two weeks ago. I'm going back Monday for it. I knew I should have purchased it then, but I had the 1257 parts list on my mind at the time and just laid it back on the shelf. I'm not just after one gear, I would like to have several of these gears for back up depending upon the price. I just want to help others as they have been welling to help me in some of my off beat questions here on this site. I figure that's what it's all about, helping one another to keep our horses alive.
