Tractordaves RJ-59

My friend David who I met a couple years ago and lives pretty close to me bought this RJ from JimM in Indiana as a tractor minus hood and engine and we want to see how fast we can crank this thing out.

Previously we took it all apart, cleaned tranny internals and inspected engine. Everything looks pretty good. That took 1 day. I also spent an hour getting to good hood halves apart from the crappy pieces so they can be welded together into a good hood.

Today I got prepared for him to bring everything over to my house for labor day weekend and pull an all nighter from saturday to sunday and part of monday. I got the blast cabinet working and made a grate from a dog cage and got it going good.

This is going to be interesting!!!! Some crazy multitasking will happen and we have everything from bearings to paint to finish it.

Most important, Charlie while you and David are working, have your Dad take pics! You know :)

Sounds like my kind of fun Charlie. A few Red Bulls with a few beers here and there with some good tunes (I'm thinkin Allman Brothers) in the back ground and I'm good to go. I'm an experienced all nighter.

Multi tasking is key.

We pulled an all nighter on his Cub 102 so he could sell it. But now it is the RJs turn.

Was too busy to get pics but was up until 3am sunday morning. We completely rebuilt the trans with bushings, seals and bearings and started on the engine block and went out for a midnight cruise around the farm!

Will get pictures ASAP!
