Shuboxlover 481 #3 Posted August 23, 2010 TEASE!!!!!!!!!!! Just curious did D-160's ever come with a single cylinder 16HP Kohler??? And if they did, theoretically; which would be better....the 16HP single Kohler, or the 16HP twin Onan?

Trouty56 567 #6 Posted August 23, 2010 Just took a quick glance at the spreadsheet. 74 and 75 where K341's. 76 had both and 77 had just the Onans. If my datasheet is correct. Which is better?? Couldn't tell you. Edit: I can't read the sheet right. I think it says 76 were Onans and up.

Shuboxlover 481 #8 Posted August 23, 2010 OH, apiece of the puzzle revealed......... This is FUN!! Is it hard to add the rear PTO to a tractor that doesn't have one???? It the 16HP enough to handle the rear tiller :)
wh79d160 52 #9 Posted August 23, 2010 Yes, 16hp is enough, It is a little underpowered comparably. It depends on how tired your 16 is. As far as the rear PTO. If your D has a rear fan under the seat, I'm not sure how the PTO will fit. I've never seen one w/rear fan & R/PTO. Hopefully some one has one they can take a pic for you. It would probably also depend on the type of soil you're tilling. I'm pretty sure all the D's have the mounting holes for the r/PTO whether they have one or not. Good Luck
