bewford 21 #1 Posted August 20, 2010 looked at c-195 today, it has no fenders how hard are these going to be to find if i buy it. are these c-195 only? how much money to they usually fetch in good shape? just curious thanks guys
tgranthamfd 29 #2 Posted August 20, 2010 Not real sure about the 195's, but the other Black hoods you can put just about any fender deck on it that you want to. Like I said I do not know for sure, but others on here will. You may have trouble relocating the lift levers, or something like that, aren't most of those located on the fender? Some of the folks get up pretty early and get on here, not me, though, I'm just winding down from the long days work. :USA:
tgranthamfd 29 #3 Posted August 20, 2010 Just got through looking at the 195's in the gallery, and it appears that the levers on the left fender and the gas tank filler neck will be your problem areas if you try to put any other fender decks on it. If you are creative you could probably make another work for you though. Just haven't seen any, yet. Would be interesting to see if you took that route. Good luck with it. C-Series14 15 #4 Posted August 20, 2010 Unique fender to the C-195...one on EBay right now.
refracman 167 #5 Posted August 20, 2010 Only the plastic fender will fit because of the gas tank. Its raised and conforms to raised part of the fender. You can use any C series plastic fenders and cut out where the fillertube and hyd levers are, or you can change the gas tank to a C85- C175 style and use a steel one. This will work only on the 1982-83 on the 1984 only the plastic will work unless you move the hyd controls. The last nice one on evilbay went for 155, it was C85-175 type. C-Series14 15 #6 Posted August 20, 2010 Good info Steve. I wasn't sure what all had to be done to use the little "C" plastic or metal fender, never tried it, now I know! :)
