HYDRO HELP

Recommended Posts

Moparfanforever

Hi Guys , I have a 1972 ( i think ) Charger 10 with Hydro and hydraulic lift.

I was moving it in the garage and the drive belt started making noise and i noticed it had flipped over on the drive pulley.

After that happened , the back wheels wouldn't turn , even with the valve in tow position. Took the belt off , the Hydo pulley turns , still will not roll. I jack the back up and the wheels will turn while in the air ??

Something wrong in the pump ??

I bought this to restore when i retire next year because of the hydraulic lift , but not so sure now.

I am thinking about trying to swap another whole pump/rearend assembly from another tractor. If i go this route , could i swap one from a 300 or 400 series tractor ??

If i get a hydro tractor with a manual lift , can i still plumb the hydraulic lift to it ??

Thanks , and hope this all makes sense !! :)

Darrell

You are lucky as lots of the parking brakes have been ground off over the years,Rick
