12hp kolher in a 657.will it fit??????

I have a chance to buy a 12 kolher with a starter/gen for super cheap.Will it fit into my 657(1967).Will mods have to be made?

The hood will hit the motor on a short frame tractor with anything larger then an 8hp. If you were to find a 8hp kohler you'd be ok.

In a word no it will not fit, unless it is the small base block then you will still need many many parts to make it fit, if the price is right you can never have to many Kohlers setting around waiting for something to put them in.
