NEED HELP IDENTIFYING this model

Any help would be great- i guessed a 312-8? how far off am i?

10 miles off! 312-8 would have 2 gear shift levers below the steering wheel, a 12hp horizontal engine, gas tank under seat, different fender, etc. Looks like a stamped steel frame and vertical shaft engine...200 Series maybe???

yup under the seat, only numbers we can make out is the last 3 -says 501
