racinfool40 203 #1 Posted July 24, 2010 have a chance to purchase a 1972-73 model #10350 has 12hp kohler 8speed trans 42"deck and snow blade. this is what the owner has told me . going to look at it monday morning. tried the search feature and nothing or just me not good at all the ins and outs of this site yet.he is asking 450.00 any help or opinions would be appreciated.use to work with this guy so he's giving me 1st chance sorry no pics. HankB 16 #8 Posted July 25, 2010 Is it considered bad form if I post pix? I picked up a Raider 12 recently: Mine's a '71 so a tiny bit older. Hopefully the one you're looking at has all of the engine tin and doesn't smoke so bad. And better electrics. (I have to choke mine to shut it off as the ignition switch is bad or the kill wire unplugged. Clutch wire is dangling and no lights... racinfool40 203 #9 Posted July 27, 2010 So here's what i ended up with: so drove an hour north and looked at it was asking 450.00 flashed 300.00 and sold threw in extra set of carlisle turf tire's.deck in good shape except for 2 spindles 3rd one rough so will be looking for a set of spindles.deck is 42" side discharge. and dozer blade the 12 hp kohler runs great no smoke at all purrs like a kitten. so this one will be a winter project.If any one has a set of spindles there willing to part with I'm interested Thanks for your replies!!! C-Series14 15 #10 Posted July 27, 2010 Decals alone tell you it is a 1973 model. 12hp 8-Speed. Some of the info on the net is POSSIBLY wrong for that VIN number. My Wheel Horse Bible says 12hp 8-Speed and another program I have says Raider 12 8-Speed. That same program also says 1-0355 is a 12hp 8-Speed but to use VIN 1-0350!
