ragtoppers 0 #1 Posted July 22, 2010 Does anyone know what model or year this is? It is up for auction and I don't have any other info available.
rickv1957 70 #2 Posted July 22, 2010 From what I can tell from pictures it may be an 856 (66),857 or a 867 (67),Rick
Kelly 1,028 #3 Posted July 22, 2010 A bigger picture and we might be able to guess better, but it looks like a 8hp Kohler, short frame tractor, it has the narrow fenders so from 65 to 67 for a year, and has the wrong decals on the hood OK I blew the picture up I'm wrong on the narrow fenders, and it looks like it might be a commando 8, so a 68 or
CasualObserver 3,406 #4 Posted July 22, 2010 68 only... no commando 8's made in 69.... and I agree that's what it looks like to me. model 1-4831.
Kelly 1,028 #5 Posted July 22, 2010 I pulled this from the model list we have here, 1-4832 1969 Lawn & Garden Tractor Commando 8 4-Speed Kohler K181S-30108D 8 Wheel Horse 5053
CasualObserver 3,406 #6 Posted July 23, 2010 That is interesting... wouldn't be the first time that list has been wrong. (or me either! )
Kelly 1,028 #7 Posted July 23, 2010 I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong, just stating what I read and that might be wrong???
ragtoppers 0 #8 Posted July 25, 2010 Hopefully I make it to the auction tomorrow. Even if I don't win, I'll at least get a close look at it and find out for sure what it is. They are also auctioning the snowblower attachment for it too. Wish me luck! Thanks for all your insight!

ragtoppers 0 #10 Posted July 27, 2010 I get to the auction when it started at 2pm. Check out the tractor, but couldn't find any model or serial number on it. There was a faded sticker on the side that said Commando. Unfortunatley I couldn't dedicate probably about 4 hours to stand there to wait until they got to the larger items. My wife would not have been too happy with me! Oh well, the search continues!
