Bigger tires/more weight?

Recommended Posts

Thread is getting old I know, but been busy.

On observing the pictures you posted, only about 2/3 of the original tires made contact with the ground. This is evident by the clean/dirty of them. I'd be checking to make sure you aren't doing the same with the new ones. There might be even more to be gained.

Regarding the math theory, theory is great, but I've NEVER seen anyone in competition go to a smaller tire to increase traction, regardless of event. What works in practice isn't always what the theory predicts. :)

I use to work at a ski slope and we would put duels on to mow it. It helped with stability and gave more surface area to make contact.

Woodys3b,

Find a Rim Guard dealer and get your tires filled with fluid. I had the 22x9x12 tires on my 312-8 filled (aprox 60lbs per tire) and it makes a noticable difference.

Thanks

Francis

How much did the rim guard filling cost?
