JUSS10 250 #1 Posted July 20, 2010 well last night i went to go look at two more round hoods and came home with them on the trailer. got an 854 and 654. not as nice as my others but the price was right. The 854 is missing the drive belt, the belt cover for the generator (it came with the drive belt cover) looks the the motor was out of a deer. hood was hacked and busted on the front on the bottom. motor cranked fine so made sure everything was hooked up and cranked the motor and she fired when i squirted a little fuel in the intake. also looks like it has an RJ steering wheel, am i right? 654 is in pretty good shape. looks to be nearly all original. the hood is the only rough part that i can see. and that its got the wrong throttle. tried to get it started but having some starter issues. the gears wont lash properly. can i adjust that on the H60? thats just one screwy motor. the rear tires are almost new and the steering is actually pretty tight. also came with the snow plow mount on the rear axle so if anyone is looking for one of those let me know as my plow is a custom rig and doesn't use that mount. that brings my current count to 5 round hoods in 2 months. its a disease here are some pictures

CasualObserver 3,406 #6 Posted July 20, 2010 also looks like it has an RJ steering wheel, am i right? Nice tractors. Sorry nope... not an RJ wheel... that's the 1962-63 style wheel. Your 854 looks more like a 753 to me. (Wrong dash to be an 854)
JUSS10 250 #7 Posted July 20, 2010 hmmm i saw the dash and wondered the same thing. makes sense that someone swapped the 181 in and then just changed the side cover sticker. thanks for the tip. the guy i bought them from didn't really know much about them. i think it was a family member who had these in a barn and he got them and had no use so he was selling them off. i guess he said he sold a few RJ's as well. perry 82 #16 Posted July 21, 2010 that was a good haul . you might want to keep the plow/axle clamp. you never know when you might find a nice wheel horse plow.
JUSS10 250 #17 Posted July 21, 2010 yeah maybe someone could cut me a good deal on just the plow so i can sell off the homemade one that came with my 603....
