Fuel delivery experience

Not sure which section this should be in so Mods please move this if I didn't get it right.

Sunday I got my yellow and white Tweety Horse :D out of the shed. I started the usual preparation for taking it to a 4th of July parade 35 miles south of Osceola.

When I was just finished filling the fuel tank....GAS EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!

Plastic fuel tank had developed a crack just where the tank rounds over to the top surface.

I removed about 1/2 of the fuel, telling myself "I'll be fine, plenty of gas, low enough not to cause a problem.

I got to my friend's house and others of our group was there. I told them my situation, one of them, a :thanks: collector said I'll be right back. Here he came with an identical tank, said "We have time, lets change tanks", we did.

Moving forward to the parade: Less than 1/4 of the way through the parade...It DIED like it was out of fuel!!!!!

After the parade we discovered the  vent holes in the gas cap was plugged. :D

Yesterday it was Osceola's turn for their parade.

Tweety behaved himself perfectly!!!

Moral of the story: DON'T OVERLOOK THE "LITTLE THINGS"

Just thought I'd share this story with you.

Don't feel bad, Roger. I had the same thing happen to me with the plugged vent hole. :D Now it's one of the first things I look for.
