Kelly 1,033 #1 Posted July 5, 2010 I was coming home from picking up my snow blade I bought from another member to fit my 520 forward swept axle tractor, and stopped by a house near my sons girlfriends house, he told me they had a WH in the weeds, heck never hurts to ask, I asked if he wanted to get rid of it? (not did he want to sell it, all in the choice or words sometimes) he said yes it didn't run right and started to smoke so he parked it, I asked what he wanted for it he said it wasn't worth much, I asked again, how much?, thinking in my head $50, he said $10 I took out my wallet and paid the man, I just happen to have my trailer with me and we loaded it up, then he walked to the barn and brought out a nice pair of tire chains, and said these go with it if you want them I got it home dumped some gas in the tank, put the charger on it checked the oil, and cranked it till it got gas, it started right up, runs great trans works, batt. even took a charge for now, after getting it home I noticed it had a snowblower flag hanging under it (I didn't look it over very good for the price), I'll have a free tractor after selling the lift flag I'm not sure of the brand of the rear weights?? or what they weigh? guess 35lbs they are about 2" thick, any ways guys the deals are still out there you just have to find them, or have kids and a wife that are always on the look out

Kelly 1,033 #16 Posted July 6, 2010 well I drove the snot out of it for 45 min. at full throttle, part throttle, climbed hills ect..... not a puff of smoke??? don't know what he was talking about, could use a carb cleaning but it's not bad, a stumble now and then, could use a rewire, he caught it on fire at one time putting gas in it, you can see the burnt spot on the hood left side, but starts and runs a drives, needs a drive belt and clutch pulley, but for the price I'm not going to get upset over it. linen beige 15 #17 Posted July 6, 2010 Maybe it quit smoking after the fire went out?
Horse'n Around 22 #18 Posted July 6, 2010 You know what could have happened as far as the smoke goes, he could have accidentally put either diesel in it or possibly some 2 stroke fuel with a lot of oil in it.My sister in law put some deieel in my mower when she topped off the tank and it smoked a lot, She didnt know what happened till I saw the fuel can and I realised she used the fuel for the my father in laws diesel tractor. You got a awesome deal there, good things have a way of happening to good people. John

Both are in decent shape allthough rusty and need seats, run great with no issues, both have 1 yr old batteries. The 160 will pay for both and put a little in the kitty.
