Yup they made a 1046 and from looking at the one picture (kinda hard to tell) but it looks like it is, has a Kohler with the stamped steel riser plate, look under the dash to find the ID tag the model should read T-1046 let us know, by the way if that is orig. paint that is a very nice machine.

Use the search button and just put in 1046 and change it to 30 days and older. You'll find lots of discussion on the 1046 from the past. Several members here have them, but they're a rare beast.

Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Clause! Yes Bewford, there is a 1046. There have been 3 of them pass through here and one is still in the barn!

i wish it was the original paint if that were the case a seat cover, shift knob, and instrument panel and it would be perfect. but thanks for the compliment

here some more pictures, KELLY the id tag does say T-1046. i read some of the old posts about the 1046 but nothing was real informative as to why this model was made or what the production numbers where that would make it a rare piece.4748689595_519bbffd0f_m.jpg4748689583_0fca0417c4_m.jpg here are links directly to the pictures http://www.flickr.com/photos/wheelhorses/4748689595/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/wheelhorses/4748689583/

The 1046 was once again made to use up old parts, this in part by in 1967 Wheel Horse introduced the six speed models.
