New Holland 42" rear discharge deck

At the Wheel Horse show in Pa this weekend I saw a New Holland 42" rear discharge deck that looked just like the WH deck. The guy who was selling it said that it was made by WH/Toro for New Holland; is this true? He also said that if I removed the New Holland mounting brackets and replace them with WH hardware it will fit!

The deck was in fine shape (could have painted it red later) and was priced low for this area. I did not buy as I was not sure.

Did I miss a deal? Can you convert a New Holland 42" RD deck for Wheel Horse duty?

i seen that deck and it has the exact same stamping impressons on it as a wheel horse deck and i bought a new holland 48 inch blade at the sale and it is exactly the same as the wheel horse but it need the lift tab welded on it and it is even a 5 posotion blade so i beleive the deck would have worked

To answer your question, Yes Toro/WheelHorse did make some New Holland Garden tractor's back in the early 90"s. They were basically Blue 520Xi's I believe.

The one I really liked had a diesal engine, with s shaft friven 60" mower deck.

I wanted one, but couldn't afford it.
