JUSS10 250 #1 Posted June 25, 2010 so a while back i stumbled upon this article about moding the carb on the kohler engines. under the "how to adjust fuel mixture..." it talks about drilling out a hole in the bottom of the high speed needle then blocking off the holes half way up to great better suction and better performance at idle and smoother transitions to higher RPMs. has anyone done this? http://gardentractorpullingtips.com/carbfuel.htm
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #2 Posted June 26, 2010 I have, but you need a reason to perform the modification. (think racing or pulling tractors) My experience: It does nothing for a stock engine except cause it to load up at idle and blow black smoke when you throttle it up.
