Miles 1 #1 Posted June 23, 2010 Hay guys, I just purchased an RM-324 mower deck that was restored by another fellow who purchased it at an estate sale. The deck is not complete with all its parts. My question here is at the sides of the deck where the side wheels mounts to there are three holes drilled there with threads. I am assuming that this is for some sort or wheel height adjuster. What type of wheel height adjuster if any did this deck have and does anyone know where I can find the adjusters if they were made for this deck at the time.
Lane Ranger 11,395 #2 Posted June 23, 2010 You could use the three holes with threads to raise or lower the "axle" bolt tht holds the mower deck wheels on it. The axle bolts were special but I think about 1.75 inches long. Also Wheel Horse had some attachment "easy lift" aluminum height adjusters that also could attach to these outside holes and allow the wheel to be adjusted five or six different levels with a spring loaded type device. You can barely see it in the photo below but the two red handles in the front of each rear deck wheel are on these aluminum easy lift height adjusters. A lot of times they are on the old mower deck and they use to appear on Ebay all the time but I have not seen any on there this last year.
figo40 0 #3 Posted June 27, 2010 I just bought wheels from Harbor freight and sholder bolts from Lowes for the same deck. Frank
