wingrider 21 #1 Posted June 18, 2010 I bought a used snow cab for my C160 and I'm trying to find out where I could find material to replace the cracked windows in the cab. Is there still a company that still makes cabs or a place to get parts for them? Winter will be here before we know it and I want to stay warm and dry next winter. Thanks for any help wingrider
MikesRJ 558 #2 Posted June 18, 2010 Original Cab Company, one of the original manufacturer of Wheel horse cabs, is still in business. But the windshield material is also still available and probably can be purchased local to you. Any upholstery shop can replace the windows for you if the rest of the material is still in good shape. http://www.originalcab.com/
linen beige 15 #3 Posted June 18, 2010 You might try these folks. http://www.originalcab.com/ From what I understand, they made your cab "originally" . Mike and I were typing at the same time. He makes a good point about upholsterers. Any auto restoration place that works on convertible tops is also a good bet.
Prater 76 #4 Posted June 18, 2010 Are the cabs made with isenglass? If so check with a local Boat canvas dealer. Its the clear plastic used on the fabric of boat camper-tops and rain enclosures.
MikesRJ 558 #5 Posted June 18, 2010 I've used strataglass on boats in the past, much the same product as isenglasss, but those two are quite salty in price. http://www.scalisemarine.com/vinyl.htm#cleaning
