dgjks6 6 #1 Posted June 15, 2010 I am trying to replace a broken axle from 312-8 transmission. I found one that is 10 5/8 long, the correct diameter, and the correct number of tines. I think mine is 11 3/8 but hard to measure because one is installed. Would it be a problem to install 1 inch shorter axles? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
stevasaurus 22,229 #2 Posted June 16, 2010 I see no takers on this ...my 2 cents...the hubs will not fit correctly and the fenders may come into play. In other words...you need the correct axle length. Those parts are out there. :D Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
