Best way to remove handles from the

I have the "T" handles on the throttle and choke levers on my C-81. I tried pulling them off the levers but didn't want to pull to hard as not to brake them. Tried running them under hot water so they would expand and that didn't work. Anyone have any other "tricks" to get them off?

Jeff,I use a smaller size prybar and put the hook end against knob bottom at lever and pivit against dash,popps them right off,Rick

Place a piece of wood, like a 1x4, across the dash and use the claws of a clawhammer to pry them off (even pressure on both sides of the T-handles), being warm really helps loosen and soften the plastic a lot, even 100

Yeah, I should have done this BEFORE I removed it for the restoration Now i have to re-install it and mask off the dash and pad everything so I don't scratch anything :D

Last one I took off I used a tip from another member. Hook it with the claw hammer, then slap the hammer a good one with your other hand. Popped right off, but I did hit the fender with the hammer. If that's been recently painted, you might want to protect it.

I figured it out. Clamped the actual lever in the big vise then just pried it off with a large flat blade screw driver. Thanks fro all the tips!
