curly 0 #1 Posted March 25, 2008 Hey Guys I just bought this little fellow today--at least contracted it and supposed to pick up in a couple weeks. Is bad when you have to drive 175 miles just to get a mower LOL Anyway when I rebuild my B115 will it be in comparison to this 1. Any help appreciated . curly in Kaintuckee
Sparky-(Admin) 23,169 #2 Posted March 25, 2008 Back when gas was cheap, $2.00/gallon I would drive almost any distance for a tractor I really wanted. I did a 971 mile round trip with my neighbor to pick up a couple of tractors. One for me in NY and down into PA for his and then back home to Ct. Did it all in one day. I think gas was down about $1.69 back then. Gas prices are preventing me from doing that anymore. Mike..........

WheelHorse_of_course 99 #5 Posted March 26, 2008 Nice looking Black hood there Curly. Good to have another Vertical shaft guy around We are definately outnumbered here Now now Guys, You Vertical guys are only outnumbered because WH made more Horizontals Actually, come to think of it, that makes the Vert's more "collectible," and in theory more valuable . My own personal spin has always been that Vert's are lawn mowers and Horiz's are tractors, but I realize that is terribly arbitrary. I have to say, the black hoods are growing on me :P
curly 0 #6 Posted April 6, 2008 Hey Guys just got this little fellow in Friday evening. Is very neat little mower but has several items that I am not likely to leave be. For instance I will change the motor from a 11 HP to a 8 HP as originally came out on it. This motor does not run the best with its mounting and I would rather have it as original as possible. The choke wire was removed and all on 1 cable Choke and accelerator. Will try and put proper choke cable back on it as well. Brakes do not work and other items as well but for $275.00 total pickup and all I will not complain. Any hints will be appreciated very much.
