Stoneman, I think you hit it dead on the head with Ratfeathers. Personally myself I think that works. I guess the jury is still out we will have to wait and see what happens after the show. Good Choice! See Ya, Bye Burly

This machine seemed rather odd to me at first glance. When I saw it at the show it truly is a "rat Rod". Totally awesome machine and HorseFeathers is a great guy too. Takes a special kind of vision to make a machine like this. Great job HF, and pretty cool you pulled it all together for the show.

Mike, I got lucky I was able to pull it all together!

Kelly, Dam yer good! How did you see the straight axel sky high pedal car?

My son is buildin' that push stroller for my grand daughter Shelby!

But he quit so... I'll finish it up next week! It's cool , luv them toys!

Had a fun day, sorry I missed friday!

Great to meet all the RS members, a fine bunch 'o folks!

Ok, let me try this

What the heck is that ?? You getting ready to do a Munster Mobile for your next project?

Please don't tell me this has anything to do with your 3 a.m. RS posts - you only come out at night to create rat rods.

wtf.jpg

Don't make me come up there young man !!

vampire_squirrel.jpg

Save_Old_Iron, Sooo... thats it ! I had to raise the dead to get you talking!

The Rats and I are workin' 'till dawn then it's back to my crypt!

Yes I'am thinkin' of a Munsters Dragula slant six Mopar power!

Aaa.... better warn that Vampire squirrel!

Those "SUN"flower seeds may set him ablaze !

Don't let him get too close to the 603 "GAS"ser!

Or it'll be "Great Balls 'O Fire"!

:D HORSEFEATHERS!

Nice to meet you sir, I like yer attiude..." always leave em laughin!" Excellent!

Suburban 550, Thanks for puttin' up the photos, saves me a couple hours messin' around on this web box. A spider can spin a web faster than I can upload a photo!

How do they do that??? It was nice to meet you!

Butch, NOS not! Ken B got it right! It's just a drink bottel with a NOS energy drink lable glued on it! Yea... It's a dummy just like the tractor builder!

Thanks Roger and Rick, Yea.. 6 weeks is cuttin' it too close!

I felt like I was on one of those Chip Foose Overhaulin' builds!

Just that theres only one A on the A-team! A FOOLe that is!

It was great to meet the RS members I had a fun time!

Brian, I wish we did live closer, your machining skills and attention to details!

And my sick twisted imagination! Who knows what we could come up with?

Maybe a stainless, copper 'n brass ,Chrysler Hemi powered Senior ride away!

You could do the machine and design, I'll do the fab 'n assembly!

Maybe I'll draw something up!

OK Guys, Here's the deal!

I started this thread with a pic of concept art drawing!

I know... who could belive that crazyness, It ain't gonna' look like that!

I'am sure no one belived me when I said "It realy looks like the drawing!"

That all changed when I came rollin' in the show Saturday in the AM!

I was stopped by a group of RS members.. they were bombed!

All seamed to like it! I knew I was IN! The start of a good day!

Sooo... Here it is! From drawing to drawinig a crowd!

4651598511_5dc7b9e3f9_b.jpg

4732694802_cd588f6f0a_b.jpg

So how did I do ? Yes it realy looks like the concept art! Don't you think?

Honestly, I did not know how this would be accepted!

As I know that most folks like to see restored tractors!

Everyone seamed to like it! but... I think the old guys liked it most!

They rembered the 60s A/FX, altered wheelbase, and straight axle gassers!

And picked up on the Li'l details that make this 60s Gasser what it is!

Hope ya'll enjoyed it! I had a good time buildin'this one!

And I hope I did the Red Square membership proud!

I had a good time at the big show! Realy enjoyed meeting you all!

Bud,

When I came down to the parking lot early Saturday morning and you were wiping the dew off of the gasser, I was blown away. I guess I was one of the first to see it and I said to myself, "that's the Rat Fink cartoon tractor. He did it".

It looks great. There is nothing wrong with taking pieces from a junked, discarded tractor, and building a "concept" tractor. It's something that people will be talking about for some time to come.

Speaking as a member of the guys on the corner, you and the 603 Gasser are welcome to our tent anytime.

Geof and I were going out for breakfast 6:30 Sat. morning and saw it in the parking lot. We took a close look then noticed a body covered with a tarp (and dew) in the back of the truck. Thought it might be a crime scene but there was no yellow tape. What time did you get to the fairgrounds?

When I came to the big show I knew that it was Perfection or rejection!

The 603 is not a restored tractor and very uncommon, so I was hangin' it out there!

Bob, Mike and all the RS members welcomed me right in and asked me to park next to the RS tent.

Right there beside Brian, Mike, Bob, Ray and Dukes beautifuly restored horses sat this Foolish 603 Gasser!

Thanks for the great welcome!

Buzz I got there at 10:30 PM friday nite! Thought I was ready to go Thursday nite.

Went down Friday In the AM fired er up ready to load!

Jumped on and it just kept grinding gears (never tried to move it before then) messed w/it couldn't figure it out! Then I rembered I saw a post on RS about Grinding gears!

Hit the forum, found the page and Ohh yea! I fabbed the beltgaurd from scratch

and didn't think of those tabs that stall the belt! Welded up some tabs bolted them on and it worked! I was just about to give it up and toss in the towel!

I'am glad I pushed on or I wouldn't have made the show Saturday!

That's how close this build was, 6 weeks 'o bustin' the crack in my backside!

And I almost gave up! Realy wanted to be there on Friday! But I did make it!

 HORSEFEATHERS!
