JUSS10 250 #1 Posted June 12, 2010 well the past few days we have gotten quite a bit of rain and it has really matted down the driveway to our barn. a few days ago i decided i would build a spike drag to put my newly aquired 704 to work. well today i finally got around to it. its made up of all sorts of scraps that i found around the shop. after about 15 minutes of welding and grinding this is what i came up with. Its a "T" shaped frame made of 2 inch angle iron with a bunch of 8ish inch spikes welded to the back. braced it up where it goes into the lift hitch and added a milk crate on top to add a 60lb bag of sand. i was really impressed with how well it worked for being thrown together and i just love how well the 704 performed. even with an engine that isn't quite tuned up yet she ran great. would nearly pull the wheels off the ground if you weren't careful. well anyway here are some pics of the rig and the driveway after i was done. i was starting to restore this one but i might have to find another to use while restoring this one cause i don't think i could go without this little work horse for very long.
