plasticdad 0 #1 Posted June 11, 2010 New to redsquare and wheel horses. I just bought a 520h, and got a good used tiller also, but no idea how it all goes together. Does anyone have a video or anyhelp. I am not the best with any of this stuff.
ba2988 28 #2 Posted June 11, 2010 Hey Plasticdad - Welcome to Redsquare. I'm fairly new to the board myself but have found the answers to many of my questions by using the search function of the website. There are several threads on setting up the tiller - which I found helpful. Here is a link to one of the ones that helped me... http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/index.php?showtopic=9204&hl= Do you have any specific questions? chdinct 28 #4 Posted June 11, 2010 The first thing you will need is the cable and rock shaft set up that mounts under the seat pan so you can lift and drop rear attachments. That didn't come standard on the 520 or probably any WH's. Check to see if you have it. The other piece that's sometimes missing is the idler pulley set that mounts to the mid hitch - you can see that in the linked thread. Oh, and you need the rear axle hitch if you don't have it. plasticdad 0 #6 Posted June 11, 2010 Thanks, I am at work and won't be off for a few days. I have the part that I believe is also for a front snow plow looks like it bolts over the axle. The links are great. I believe once I get a little time I can get it working now. I really appreciate everything! This is the first WH I have ever owned, but already looking at buying an older one to tinker with, and learn more with. The 520 is a cadillac though. Do you guys know if you can buy or attach things like plows, disk, or cultivators to them? I was going to stop by a local dealer on Wednesday and ask about sleeve hitches for these. Does anyone know if sleeve hitches are available?
C-Series14 15 #7 Posted June 11, 2010 You will be amazed at what is available...you have just reached the front door to a superstore of WH innovations.... Look around, check out the galleries, etc....There is an attachment for everything. I have a dozen or so myself. :D
