truckin88 104 #1 Posted May 30, 2010 Gone Horse Hunting this morning, a tip came via the internet of a not heavily advertised tractor for sale, yet it is a heavily wanted model, let you know the results when I get back.

truckin88 104 #6 Posted May 30, 2010 The guy was very nice, he made a post months ago about a 416-8 kohler single with 48" on another board about 30 min from me. It is at his mom's house which is dormant, and sat in a barn for 2 years. He thought the hours were around 300 and the motor was rebuilt 100 ago. Only issue is no pics. Got there the barn was a falling down shed. I was early so he had not left where he was yet, so I called him, he said go look at it. When I entered the shed, a pruning hook came flying for me. The tractor was rough, 1600 hours, bird crap everywhere, looked like a mouse got in it. It was a 416-8 with M16 motor. It was solid (but rough), but more work than I am looking for right now. He wanted $300, which with a 48 SD deck is not off, just not worth my $300. He was a super nice guy, and we have been trying to hook up since easter, luckily I called him before he was to far along, and told him I passed.
linen beige 15 #7 Posted May 30, 2010 He thought the hours were around 300 and the motor was rebuilt 100 ago. That would make me wonder. 200 hours is awfully early for a rebuild. But, if it was closer i'd be interested. I'd like to have a 416-8, and would prefer a Kohler.
