littleredrider 409 #1 Posted May 28, 2010 Looking for a set of 18x9.5x8 Ag tires. Tractor Supply has some for roughly $60 each, Tires Unlimited for $50ish, but think they were on back order. Looking for the best price and for shipping too. Where do you get your sneakers from?? One last question, will these rims work for our tractors?? Pic shows a 4 lug, but it's 5... http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/pro...30342_200330342
Kelly 1,033 #2 Posted May 28, 2010 The wheels should fit for bolt hole spacing but not sure on back spacing? unless you have swapped hubs your rangers have 3 bolt wheels, I just finally won a set of 20x10x8's off ebay for my ranger new tires but have been mounted, got them for $81 + shipping and they are Carlisle, keep your eyes on ebay I wanted the bigger tires so it took me longer to fit a set cheap, but I seen a few sets the size you want used sell for about $50 a pair, just have to keep watching, I look up tractor tires for my search, and look every day so you only have a page or so to look trough. here is a set right now new. http://cgi.ebay.com/TWO-New-18X9-50-8-CST-...=item53e108f744
jimt1971 237 #3 Posted May 28, 2010 I put an 8 speed on my Lawn Ranger and they are the wheels I used. The problem is the hole at the hub is smaller then the raised portion on the hub. You should get the hubs machined down to fit the wheels. But for right now I am still mocking up my tractor so I have not had mine machined yet. If you torque the wheels down equally you shpuld not have a problem. For the tires I bought 18 8.5 8 Duro AGs from Cedar Rapids Tire. They seemed to have the best price. littleredrider 409 #4 Posted May 28, 2010 I'm gonna be swapping to an 8-speed hopefully in a week or so, my other ranger is getting it's tranny and wheels back. I have the mower on the 63, and hate it. Turning radius sucks, no foot peg for the right side, metal seat actually isn't bad, but can't lean to one side without slipping, and the fenders aren't big enough to hang on to while slipping around in the seat. Once I get the 8-speed done on the 63, I want to run Ags. Since it won't be a mower, thinking of putting some 20" Ags on it, but are they gonna be too big?? Anybody have any pics of these on a round fender ranger??
jimt1971 237 #5 Posted May 28, 2010 If it is not raining too bad tomorrow I will take pics. I have 18's I think 20's would be too big. jim

jimt1971 237 #9 Posted May 30, 2010 Hello, Here you go here are the pics of the Lawn Ranger with the five lug Northern Tools wheels and 18X9.50X8 Duro Ags. This tractor also has a Kohler 8hp pull start engine and an eight speed rear out of a C-81. I will be collecting parts at this years show so that I can restore it. Any questions give me a yell.
