racinfool40 202 #1 Posted May 26, 2010 OK here's what I have I think its a 1997 244-H TRACTOR Model#2214OE01 Engine Model E14OV-n/10964B. My problem is when it runs for a few minutes or gets warm it spits sputters,backfires and shuts down.I've been working at this for 2 days now and ready to pull my hair out!! It's a buddy's tractor and I'm lost when it comes to vertical shaft motors. I have 4 other wheel horses my self but all have horizontal shaft kohlers and one is onan.I"m thinking ignition coil but not positive and when i punch the numbers in on the toro web site all i get is model not found.
