hoppy 0 #1 Posted May 22, 2010 i need a carb rebuild kit and i would also like to get new screw on brass fittings for the fuel pump to carb gas line fittings. they have rubber in them to hold the metal gas line from the fuel pump to the carb. where can i get those? the motor is a K181S. the gasket for the bowl and float is shot and im leaking fuel there. Get all of the numbers off the engine, including the spec. number, and take that to any garden tractor dealer or decent size repair shop that has the Kohler Parts sign on the door or in the window. Buzz 502 #4 Posted May 22, 2010 I did a little more looking and see that your 856 should have a K181S-30108D engine. That takes Kohler carburetor rebuild kit # 25 757 01-S and the gasket between the carburetor and engine # 210223-S. I tried looking up the part number for the fuel pump fittings but need the engine serial number for that. Your bet bet is to take one of the fittings to the dealer to match up. If you remove the fuel pump don't forget a new mounting gasket. Oh yeah, in case you don't have one here's the Kohler service manual you need for that engine.
