Plow hookup on an 66' 856

Recommended Posts

i have the plow on the tractor right now. i wheeled the tractor over the plow frame. hooked it up in the rear to the two handle hooks. hooked up my front link to the lift bar. now i guess this is where im not sure......................

the handle that has the grip to adjust the angle of the blade. mine has two holes in it at the bottom where it bolts up to the tractor. it appears the top hole is my bolting hole. if i use the bottom hole the "cable" for the release pin will not reach the triangle piece that the pin cable is hooked to.

what am i missing here? it seems odd that this arm would only bolt up with one bolt. is this arm supposed to stay vertical with one bolt? or am i missing a rod or something for the bottom hole?

does anyone have any pictures of how that thing bolts up? inside or outside? what side of the triangle plate should the rod from the handle be on?

Go to the WH WHEEL HORSE TRACTOR forum, and click on the PINNED: Snow Plow installation link, and check out the links....I think this may help you out.

i went to the link for the "attachomatic" and it does not show the handle i am refering to :D the handle would be on your right if you were sitting on the tractor.

has a small handle at the top.

Go to this Toro site: https://lookup3.toro.com/partdex/index.cfm?xCaller=Toro

Enter BD-4264A for model number. It gives a good breakdown of the plow, lever, and linkages. You might be missing the long rod-blade control (#29 in the drawing).
