multihobbyguy 35 #1 Posted May 19, 2010 I picked this up in Portland for $40, supposedly it runs. I was/am not 100% sure, but I thought that this came on some of the earlier Wheel Horses. I know I have seen them in pictures on some older mid engine tractors. If you could let me know if any model of tractor used this engine I would appreciate the information. Thanks Chris. It is hard to make out, it says K91.
linen beige 14 #2 Posted May 19, 2010 The 1958 and '59 RJs used a K91, as did the '60 400 and '61 401. As long as it has enough crankshaft protuding from the PTO end (and it looks like it does) your engine should work on any of these models, with some modifications. You will have to remove the engine mounted fuel tank for it to fit under the hood. You may also want to convert the exhaust to a pipe that leads to the front of the tractor. That moves the noise and HEAT away from the back of your leg.
rydogg 186 #3 Posted May 19, 2010 I've picked up three of them lately 2 k90s and 1 k91 I figure one day I will find a RJ or Suburban that may need one since it seems like they always have a briggs or techy motor in them that doesn't belong.
