Anyone know the dimensions of a 1599 Toro belt? Trying to get one from Napa and they can't find a match for it. Thanks, Kevin

Thanks guys! Napa's closest belt was 138". I read somewhere on here that 138" was tight, will it work :USA: It's less than half of the dealers price.... :D

138" was way tight on mine, almost rubbed on the floor board and couldn't get the mid assembly to line correctly. I would go with the #1599 if that is what it calls for. You can get one from a guy in NY on e-bay for $38 and $8 shipping. 1" does make a big difference either way. What machine are you putting the tiller with and which tiller do you have? Look for Majestic Hardware's store on E-bay.

I don't have a mule drive or deck for my Raider 10, So had I planned on putting it on that. It doesn't have the cable to lift the tiller yet and I need to get 2 gardens done!! I got the 314-8 with the Raider10 and the tiller all together and the tiller mounts were on the axle of the 314-8 so I put it on that tractor today. It turned out to be more of a project than I thought.!!! Nothin goes well for me the first time :D It's on though- Just waiting on a 139"belt. Will get a pic or 2 up soon.. Thanks, Kevin

To bad you are not closer, I ended up with 2 1599 belts and a couple that was to long. I had ordered one from the guys I told you about, and then my brother came in with one 2 day after I ordered. I had gotten a Goodyear cross for the 1599 but it ended up being 138" it worked but I couldn't get the tensioner hooked up right for the mid mount, worked out nice with the 139" belt. Good luck with it, if you need pictures, I've got a few. Mine is on a 2005 315-8 Classic GT, should be about the same set up as yours. I used a little floor jack to get the tiller mount up into the tranny bracket, not very heavy that way.

Hello, well it goes like this. From what I understand, read about and also have actually found out about is that there is nothing better than an OEM belt. Sure your gonna pay a little bit more but in the same process you might have to buy two or maybe even three of them NAPA belts before you figure out that maybe I should have bought the Wheel Horse belt and been done with it. Your going to find out that the other belts stretch, twist and do everything besides what you want them to do. I have a tiller, mower deck and snowblower that I use on my GT14. I also have many friends that have said the same thing. If it's a keeper then go OEM, if it's something you are gonna part with then throw a NAPA or Goodyear at it and wave goodbye. These are my thoughts and I feel I am entitled to them. There are probably a lot of people out there who disagree and I am sure we will here from them you asked and I replied Good Luck Checking in from Iowa

See Ya, Bye Burly :D

Yes you are right, I ended up with the wheel horse belt just because it was, in fact, the right length. Once it arrived you could just tell that it was of much higher quality. I hope you didn't think we were saying don't buy OEM. :D

Hello, Nope not at allI was just stating on the situation as I myself have had it happen. The NAPA or goodyear belts work good for a quick fixbut if you want the best go OEM. No offense taken at allHave a Great evening

Thanks for the input guys. Tried to put the 138" on outta curiousity and never succeded. Way too tight. I put the 1599 on it tonight finally and it works awesome :D After all the hours behind the troy-built horse I think those days are now history. This thing tills like I've never seen before! When I put those 2 belts side by side it became obvious that oem is the way to go. Thanks to everyone again :USA: Kevin

Pictures are coming for sure Terry. Tonight I took it to my dad's. That hasn't been tilled in 10 years or so.? First run I hit 2 of those tomatoe basket things, one on each side. That took an hour to cut and untangle. After that I weed-wacked it and took my backpack blower to it... Still found another one. Then it was clear tillin :USA: I am still amazed at what these tillers will do! It's almost ready to plant now... Tilling by headlights in the end, so no pics yet :D Kevin

I am going to sink mine in deep hear pretty soon, too. Got a food plot to get ready for fall. So far all I have had the chance to do is some shallow tilling around the yard, on very hard ground, to plant grass seeds and it is doing nicely, so far. So is the tiller. :D

I am still amazed at what the tiller did to that old overgrown garden, it looked like the field next to it! We planted today.. Kevin

Yeah Terry it was. I weed-eated with .155 line down to dirt as best I could and then blew it off with the leaf blower. It tilled really hard the first time. For a while I was wondering if it was going to work? After a dozen or so times there are still some small pieces of roots and sticks but the soil is pretty good now. Kevin
