The working girl...

Well, I was going to sell this, but we spent some time together today and she started talking to me... :D

I started by wet sanding/ painting the hood to "help it sell"... Then I made a plug for the headlight hole out of 1/8" aluminum sheet. Found a extra WH logo decal and put that on. After looking at the hood, I decided that I should probably do the rest of it and keep it around.

I gave the rest of the tractor a good lye (oven cleaner) bath, then wet sanded and wire brushed everything the best I could without completely disassembling it and it's now sitting in the garage to dry out for a few days.

Thanks! It was just a quick sand and paint, so it's not perfect, but it came out pretty good. I only hope the rest of the tractor will turn out as good.

Actually Gene, it all started last night. I noticed the driveway was getting a bit rough, so I started dragging the driveway with the MM grader... She was talking then, but I wasn't listening... :D

I'm gonna keep it... Probably would still sell it for the right price, but the 23x8.50 Carlisle AGs and new paint are going to drive it way up... :USA:

Hood looks great and so does the clean up job.

It's so hard to get rid of them when they start talking.

I thought about selling my D but every time I go out to see her she talks me right out of it!

I have trouble selling anyway. I have bought 10 in the last 2 years and have never sold one yet. But I did give one to my dad for an early fathers day gift (a B-81) so I guess that is a start.

Thanks guys, this will by no means be a restoration... just a quick, preventative freshen up.

She's painted!

I'll be painting the wheels, levers, etc. and putting it back together tomorrow!

Loving the Rustoleum! I went with Regal Red on this one...
