jdwheelhorse 0 #1 Posted May 6, 2010 I have a B80 with a K181 in it and i was wondering if it would be worth the trouble of putting a brinly one bottom on it. My questions are will it be able to pull it in unbroken ground and who has experience with one of these plows?
multihobbyguy 35 #2 Posted May 6, 2010 My nephew uses one his commando 6. The only problem he seems to have tearing stuff up is keeping the blade in the ground. My brother and I talked about putting more weight on top of the plow to keep it down, but figured he would get in less trouble without the plow digging in to far. He still makes really deep and large ruts.
jla1257 2 #3 Posted May 6, 2010 The following are links that might help: http://www.tractorforum.com/f205/brinly-mo...rs-manual-4236/ (membership required) Here is a link with the same info minus the parts list and diagrams: http://www.weekendfreedommachines.org/tech.../plowsetup.html The manuals in the above links do describe how to reduce the size of the plow
big mike 13 #4 Posted May 7, 2010 Depending on the size of the plow your tractor should have no problem pulling it.I pull an 8" Brinly through sod with a 7hp with noproblem. If the plow will not "suck in" it either needs more point or you do not have the right side tires down in the furrow.
jdwheelhorse 0 #5 Posted May 10, 2010 what is a completely rusted (hopefully surface) unknown brand one bottom plow worth?

big mike 13 #7 Posted May 11, 2010 JDW,it is hard to say without seeing the plow.If it is an older Sears 3 point plow or a walk behind plow it's not worth much unless you are making a custom multi bottom. If it is a Brinly,Ohio Steel or Simplicity sleeve hitch plow they can be had for as little as 40.00 or as much as 125.00.
