Dresden Guy 24 #1 Posted May 6, 2010 I am going to go see a 1976 C-160 Auto/Hydro that looks to be in excellent condition. The current owner has owned it for 25+ years and has always garaged it and had it serviced. The engine has no strange noises and does not smoke. He said he repainted it with Rustoleum (rattle-can I suspect). The pictures look like he really took care to retain the original look without little to no overspray....but will see firsthand this Friday. He has no attachments and is asking $800. I know that without seeing it, it's hard to give advice (it's like asking, "How long's a piece of string?"), but $800 sounds a little high. I would have a 400 mile roundtrip (KY). I would like RS feedback??? HELP! Yes, I have already own a '76 C-160 8-speed that I will sell. It needs minimal TLC that I don't have time to do right now. Save Old Iron 1,571 #2 Posted May 6, 2010 No way I would get rid of the C160 - 8 at least not before becoming really familiar with the new addition to the family.
Save Old Iron 1,571 #3 Posted May 6, 2010 Besides, not before we had a chance to wire up the 8 speed with a new harness. I was looking forward to that project.

Shuboxlover 480 #5 Posted May 6, 2010 With no attachments, that sounds pretty high....even for my area where there aren't many of those around, AND a 400 mile road trip to boot.......
