figo40 0 #1 Posted May 2, 2010 Good Morning all, I am thinking of putting a k161 electric start on my 633. the engine I found has the starter on the left mounted low. My question is can i by or fab a bracket to mount it on the right and high so it will clear the Battery box. Thanks, Frank
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #2 Posted May 2, 2010 I apologize if the bidder on this auction is a member here, but this is what you need: Link to S/G brackets on eBay The only other thing you would need to do would be to replace two of the head bolts with studs (and spacers) to secure the top bracket. Kelly 1,033 #3 Posted May 2, 2010 Another thing to think about, does the starter on the engine your loolking at, have the belt on the flywheel side or the PTO side? if it's on the flywheel side your good, but if it runs the belt off the PTO side the starter/gen. will not work, it will turn the wrong way, you will have to buy a start/gen. that turns the right way.
