VinsRJ 723 #1 Posted May 2, 2010 Big thanks to Stevebo for hosting the CT Meet & Greet and also allowing me to debut my 60 Rat. Let me start off by saying that I did not chop up any good tractors to put this machine together. I had about three blown out and trashed units sitting around and wanted to put together something fun. So the purist can rest easy. What my goal was to put together a

Ken B 3,189 #4 Posted May 2, 2010 I took a bunch of pics at the meet of the gasser but your pics were the ones that didn't come out on my camera. You really nailed the look on this tractor and I had a hard time not sneaking it onto my trailer. :D

mwagner 0 #8 Posted May 2, 2010 I'm really diggin' this tractor - you really nailed it. I'm loving the weed-burner zoomie header! Wayyy bad. I'm new around here to the WH forum, but my father and I have been into drag racing forever (especially the era you captured), it's cool to see some of that world cross over into this one. TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #12 Posted May 2, 2010 :D That's too nice to be a "rat", Vince! Don't forget the mooneyes decal. Anyhow....... I ran across some cool front rims while building my black tractor and thought you might be interested. Azusa wheels They have the look of the old Halibrand magnesium spindle-mounts and I bet they would look perfect on the front of your gasser-Horse.
chesbaycruiser 83 #13 Posted May 2, 2010 As my sons would say.."Man...that's sick-nasty"!!! (I'm pretty sure that means good.) :D
grnlark 489 #14 Posted May 2, 2010 I think it's wicked! All I have to do now is figure out what I need to do or how much it's going to cost to make it a permanent fixture in MY garage! :D
chris11 184 #15 Posted May 2, 2010 Very cool looking
clintonnut 126 #16 Posted May 2, 2010 I think those rims were once mine! Did they come with one of the tractors stevebo sold? Since I'm clintonnut, I would've probably put a Clinton 2 stroke ungoverned engine on there. Those things can really scream and will make that thing fly! Plus you will have a flame coming out of the exhaust. Not bashing your project because it still is a cool tractor even with that honda which looks like it is straight piped? Nasty! VinsRJ 723 #17 Posted May 2, 2010 Thanks to all! It was fun to build a RJ/Suburban not to "off the factory floor" specs. Not to mention I can drive it and not care if it gets a little ding or the paint burns off here and there. It sits as we speak tranny-less. The 5003 is totally field stripped and waiting for some new bushings and seals. I thought I could get away with just leaving it but it kept leaving an oil slick everywhere like the BP/Gulf mightmare. Charlie - I would have gone with a non-import motor , but for the price and how it fell right into it...... I couldn't pass it up. I sent you an e-mail on tranny bushings. I need to get this back together ASAP!
Michael Bullington 5 #18 Posted May 2, 2010 wow thats a cool ride!!!! I like it all but the 666 ...no way id sit my rear on something with that number :D
