Identity Crisis

Can any of you guys ID this poor thing? A friend in Michigan is considering owning it, and doesn't know what it is yet. I figured since it was red, it might be a Wheel Horse. I know you guys like a challenge, so we have a really bad pic to go by as well. Thanks for your input!

It doesn't look like a Wheel Horse. The engine is mounted like it has a drive shaft off the fly wheel to the transmission, and maybe a PTO coming off the front. Like some of the older Gilson and Cub Cadets. The front axle doesn't look like it is from a Wheel Horse either.

:omg: I had to get about 15 feet away from the monitor also to even see it :D

It's a early Simplicity not a expert but I've had a few, guessing from the bad picture 1959 to about 1966 we have a member Perry that could probably do better he's a Sim guy.

Oh it's orange not red
