Ken B 3,189 #1 Posted April 23, 2010 Its official, # 1 is done. I guess the only thing I can do is finish up #2! When I first laid my eyes on this RJ settin on Fireman's trailer I never thought I'd get involved! Sure glad I did. I think # 2 will be getting the tool box and fenders, I like # 1 without them. jpmcleod 4 #9 Posted April 23, 2010 Looking good. I painted the rims black on my C-81. I like the black rims with bar tires. Makes them look mean. That is a good looking tractor.

Ken B 3,189 #13 Posted April 24, 2010 I've had this trailer layin in the weeds in the yard for almost ten yrs. now. The wife has asked me to get rid of it numerous times and I almost gave in, ONCE. I'm glad I kept it! If anyone has an old seat belt (for safety) or some round fenders off an old rear engine rider or the like that I can fabricate too work on the trailer let me know! Today at work I fabbed and welded up a little custom reciever.

VinsRJ 723 #15 Posted April 24, 2010 Very nice Ken, can't wait to see it next Saturday. By the way you will see those original thin rear rims on Saturday :omg:
HankB 16 #16 Posted April 24, 2010 If anyone has an old seat belt (for safety) ... I'm not sure that a seat belt would increase safety. If the trailer were to tip, it would probably be safer for the passenger to be thrown clear rather than risk having the trailer pin them. I would try to figure out some way to mount arms or a grab handle for the passenger to hang on to. Riding that could be a lot of fun!

Ken B 3,189 #20 Posted April 24, 2010 If anyone has an old seat belt (for safety) ... I'm mostly thinking about the real little guys. The trailer is solidly attached to the tractor, I wouldn't be going over any rough terrain where it could tip. My biggest concern is a little guy falling forward while I'm driving or if I have to stop quick. I like the arm rest idea.
Gene_S 93 #21 Posted April 24, 2010 Ken that RJ looks great! The hood, the paint and the rest of the tractor is beautiful... As for your little ride on seat I've seen alot of these with a handle in front of the rider in a "T" shape to hold onto... Just a thought!
