fabricator2009 48 #1 Posted April 22, 2010 Greetings. I am having problems with the belt coming off every time I sit the tiller in the ground. With it up, it stays on. I might add that the main drive pulley wobbles quite a bit. Could this be the problem? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
KyBlue 655 #2 Posted April 22, 2010 How loose is the belt?? The OE belt is super tight when its installed.. I always expect it to break when I put it on... Pulley wobble probably isnt helping matters. Need to determine if its the pulley that is bent, or the shaft..
Tim 97 #3 Posted April 22, 2010 check you pulley alignment. make sure the rear attachmatic is properly aligned on the rear end. If off a little bit can cause this problem. used to drive me nuts
tgranthamfd 29 #4 Posted April 23, 2010 Belt could be a little loose, too. Is it the xx-36TL0x (77-36TL01)? I was on the 3rd or 4th belt before I got it right. My big tiller pulley is beat up and wobbles, no problems there. Tiller mount is cocked and tiller idle is off some, still no problem. My bet is either bent shaft or belt to loose.
